Job Summary

You will collaborate with the organisation’s Civic and Learning and wider programme teams and play a key role in supporting the delivery of Tender Living, one of Studio Voltaire’s flagship programmes.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of public and civic programming as well as artist production, supporting the delivery of several projects

Tender Living is a national four-year programme of interlinked collaborative projects, commissions, exhibitions, creative research and events, centred on artistic practice and support structures for Trans, non-binary and gender-questioning artists, participants, partners and audiences, supported by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Arts Council England.

We are keen to ensure the candidate reflects the project’s key participants and therefore, utilising Positive Action, will actively prioritise applications from people who are Transgender and/or non-binary.

Duration: 17 months fixed-term

Hours: Part-time, 2 days per week, (10:00 am-6:00 pm, days to be discussed), including occasional flexible, weekend and evening working

Salary: £31,000 per annum, pro rata

Some experience working with artists, artistic programming or film production and/or presentation

Experience in events coordination and organisation (e.g talks, workshops)

A creative thinker with a practical, hands-on and collaborative approach to art-making and events

Experience in supporting and developing a diverse range of artistic and community practices

Ability to work as part of a small team and to forge mutually respectful and effective working relationships

Interest in engaging a wide range of participants and audiences via public engagement events

A flexible, self-motivated approach to working, experience of multi-tasking and an ability to prioritise and plan

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail

Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
