We are searching for a bright and motivated Production Technician to join our stage team at the Gillian Lynne Theatre.

The technical department are looking for a technician to work in the stage department to facilitate the smooth and safe running of the West End production of My Neighbour Totoro.

Hours: 40 hours per week contract

Salary: SOLT / BECTU Grade 4 of £16.73 P/H

Job Requirements

What you’ll be doing…

Working on all shows, and technical rehearsals of My Neighbour Totoro. You will be required to cover the following roles during Rehearsals and Performances;

o Stage plots

o Fly plots

As part of the Production Technician team, you will be prepping the show each day and helping to conduct safety checks.

Working closely with the visiting company and its Stage Management to ensure the smooth and safe operation of each show.

Working as part of a team to maintain a professional work environment, where performers, technicians and audience members are safe.

Problem solving during live performances.

Conducting weekly maintenance of the show, so it always looks its best.

Some roles may require supervisory responsibilities.

Ad hoc project work as directed by the Heads of Department.

Manual handling is necessary in these roles and training will be provided.
