Job Title: Producer Employer: Lily McMenamy, Associate Artist at London Performance Studios Contract: Part-Time – Freelance, project based Hours of Work: Flexible, initial six month commitment starting from Spring 2026 Working: Remote or in person (London) Rate of pay: £250 – £290 per day, based on experience Artist and performer Lily McMenamy seeks a dynamic and experienced Producer to support with the strategic development, production and touring opportunities for performance and theatre projects within her artistic practice. This is a self employed freelance engagement, initially for a six month period with the potential for further work in the future. The work will be scheduled by mutual agreement between the Producer and Lily McMenamy, with support from London Performance Studios. We expect this to average out to 2 days per week, we count a day as 8 hours of work. The Producer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the international touring production of the artist’s solo performance ‘A Hole Is a Hole’, ensuring successful planning, execution, and financial management of a theatre tour. Alongside, the Producer will support with the delivery of upcoming commissions, general advocacy and network development towards a sustainable future for the artist’s career and practice. This is a strategic role focussed on visioning for the artist’s upcoming and existing projects, with production, coordination and administration required to support this work. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience producing touring productions and in development for interdisciplinary performance, alongside a well developed knowledge of the intersection of theatre, visual art and dance.
Job Requirements
5+ years experience producing interdisciplinary performance and theatre projects. Demonstrable knowledge of international touring for theatre and interdisciplinary performance. Solid network of curators, programmers, venues and institutions within theatre and interdisciplinary performance, ideally internationally. Experience in fundraising and financing for artistic projects from a range of public and private sources. Confident advocacy, negotiation, artist and partner liaison skills. Passion for and interest in performance work at the intersection of theatre, visual art and dance. Budget management, production and administration skills. Proactive approach and enthusiasm for the role and projects.
