Make/Sense Theatre is looking for dedicated performers with an interest in accessible and sensory practice to join their team from January to July 2026.

Performer/Practitioners

We’re seeking exceptional performer/practitioners to join our vibrant creative team delivering multi-sensory theatre experiences and inclusive arts education in SEND schools and community settings.

We’re looking for performers who:

  • Have a strong foundation in clowning, physical theatre, or devised performance

  • Are confident singers with the ability to engage audiences through voice and presence

  • Ideally play the ukulele or guitar

  • Ideally based in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, or Hampshire

  • Have reliable transport and a proactive, team-player attitude

Job Requirements

Essential

  • Ability to commit to the full 27-week, 37.5 hours per week contract

  • Confident, versatile singing ability

  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check

Desirable

  • Access to your own car

  • Actor/musician skills

  • Facilitation experience

  • Clowning, puppetry, or physical theatre experience

  • Previous work with SEND or complex-needs audiences

  • Small-scale touring experience
