Performer Casting Call – River Play Research & Development

You wouldn’t believe how many stories one river can tell…

Through the downstream adventures of a hapless mudlarker, we catch characters, hear heritage, and learn how to look after our local rivers.

Matipo Arts are looking for two performers to join us in the applied Research & Development of a new theatre project for young audiences. The play explores the waterways of Essex, and the stories they tell.

Focused on connecting audiences with the history and ecology of their local waterways, we hope this project will create an imaginative sense of place to empower young people to take ownership and responsibility for their local environment.

Fee: £1200 breaking down to 8 days at £150 per day.

Applicants can be based anywhere, but we will guarantee an audition to those who are based in Harlow.

Research & Development will take place on the following dates in September:
