Job Description
The Operations & Events Assistant at Lauderdale House is vital to supporting our wide-ranging House activities, from arts and education programmes to hire events such as weddings, parties, memorials and more. This unique role works with both our Operations Manager and Venue Hire & Events Manager to ensure excellent front-facing customer care and communication, promotion and sale of hire packages, planning and hands-on delivery of high-quality events and overall excellent presentation of a constantly changing building.
Our ideal candidate has an interest in arts, heritage and education, excellent organisational and communications skills, is looking for a customer facing role and enjoys working with a diverse range of people. This is a great opportunity understand the day-to-day operations of a busy arts & education centre in a heritage building.
Lauderdale House is a fascinating Grade II* historic house, brought to life as an arts and education centre with activities taking place over 360 days a year. However, our private hire programme is our primary source of income and key to supporting our arts and education programme. The Operations & Events Assistant plays an essential part in ensuring the House runs smoothly in all activities, events and programming. This role will involve regular weekend working and requires you to be available to work any day over the 7-day period, in line with business needs.
Full-time, 35 hours per week; permanent contract
£28,093 per annum, 25 days holiday per year
