Operational Duty Manager

Working hours: 8 hours per week
Salary: £14.60 per hour, SCP 26

We’re looking for an Operational Duty Manager to help keep everything ticking on show nights and busy days at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music.

You’ll be a calm, confident presence during live events – leading front of house teams, keeping audiences safe and happy, and making sure everything runs smoothly from doors open to doors locked.

This is a part-time role, ideal if you’ve got experience leading teams in busy, customer-facing environments and you enjoy being right at the heart of live activity. We’re looking for someone with experience leading teams during live events or in similar public-facing settings, who communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, and takes a practical, people-first approach.

As Duty Manager, you’ll support the delivery of gigs, concerts and classes by leading teams on shift, overseeing health and safety and first aid cover, and working closely with colleagues across the organisation to solve problems quickly and keep standards high. You’ll also play a part in improving how things work, sharing ideas and spotting ways to make the visitor experience even better.
