Open Call for FLOW Group Exhibition in Blackfriars London

Yipps, In Collaboration with Fleet Studios, invites submissions to our upcoming group exhibition: Flow.

We are embroiled in myriad flows shaping our lives; insurmountable physical forces of time, orbital trajectories, rhythms of capital, fluctuations of climate, movement of people, more than humans and matter across the globe. How do we create work that embraces, challenges, documents these flows? What does it mean to make art in this ever changing fluctuation?

The exhibition will be housed in Fleet Studios, situated near the ancient waterway of the Fleet River which has since been diverted and manipulated into a sewer. What hidden flows, lost rhythms, historic fluctuations can we reveal in this show?

We’re interested in seeing works that explore flows in all their forms. We are open to all 2d art forms (photos, drawing, paintings, mixed media) and sculptural works. We are also interested in music and sound art.

We are not interested in Performance, AI-generated works, Installations, or Video/Digital work. If you are unsure if your art would be appropriate, please contact mailto:[email protected] – [email protected].

Works can be for sale if desired by the artist. The organization team will take a 20% commission on any works sold.

As part of the weekend programme we will be arranging a series of workshops and an artist roundtable. As part of your submission, we are keen to hear about any proposals for workshops or co-creative events you would be interested in volunteering to deliver. These events will be free to the public.

Deadline for Submissions: Wednesday May 7th at Midnight

Successful Artists will be notified by May 11th.
