Job Summary

Harbour House is a contemporary art and wellbeing centre in Kingsbridge, South Devon. The Office Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operational running of Harbour House and Harbour House Trust.

Job Description

£35K pro rata, 30 hours per week across 5 days, based at Harbour House, Kingsbridge.

Annual Leave allowance 25 days plus bank holidays pro rata
Pension – we offer the opportunity to take up a pension with The People’s Pension based on a generous sliding scale of contributions, which meet auto enrolment contributions
Based at Harbour House and in the Kingsbridge community
Responsible to: Director, Harbour House and CEO, Harbour House Trust
Responsible for: Operational responsibility for the buildings, HR & office administration

Notice Period: 8 Weeks

The Office Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operational running of Harbour House and Harbour House Trust. They are also the main point of contact for general enquiries as well as commercial bookings of the hireable spaces at Harbour House. They
oversee all office administration including HR and they provide support to the Director/CEO including diary management and travel bookings. They are accountable to the Director, Harbour House and CEO, Harbour House Trust.

Job Requirements

Essential Criteria:

Demonstrable experience as Office Manager or equivalent position

HR experience/knowledge

Line management experience

Organised and able to manage your own time across a number of different tasks

Excellent administrative and project management skills

Experience of managing logistics and budgets

Confident in communicating with a wide cross section of people

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work flexibly and under pressure

Ability to meet deadlines

IT literate with an emphasis on Googledocs and spreadsheets

Self-motivated and disciplined; able to work individually and as part of a team

Desirable:

A knowledge and understanding of the arts and cultural sector

Previous experience of working in a charity
