As part of Community Takeover we support organisations to develop by asking them what they want and finding a way to help them. This year, amongst other things, they’ve indicated they’d like to work with a professional Musical Director – first in the rehearsal room (one night a week), and then through the 5 day run of the gala performances.
The focus of your work will be on 4 ensemble songs that the company will stand and sing. The company will also work with a professional choreographer in alternate weeks to rehearse an additional 4 ensemble songs with dance routines. Later in the rehearsal period you and the choreographer will come together to finesse all 8 songs.
We want the company to feel not just that they have rehearsed a show – but that they have genuinely learnt technique in both voice and choreography that elevates their performance, and that they can take with them into future productions.
We are then keen that the MD remain in post throughout the show, and offers live piano accompaniment for the performances.
The total fee for this project would be £2,100 (+VAT if applicable).
