Job Description

London Short Film Festival (LSFF) is a BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying showcase of radical, independent and experimental filmmaking. Now in its 24th year, LSFF is a vital platform for emerging and established filmmakers, curators and artists, presenting unconventional work across screen cultures.

The 2027 festival takes place from 22-31 January 2027 across cinemas, galleries and community venues throughout London.

The Marketing Lead will develop and deliver LSFF’s 2027 marketing and audience development campaign, working closely with the Festival Director, Producer, Graphic Designer, Access Coordinator and wider festival team.

The role will lead marketing across digital, social media, print and press, with the aim of increasing the festival’s visibility, driving ticket sales, growing its audiences and strengthening engagement with first-time audiences and communities currently underrepresented in independent film culture.

The Marketing Lead will manage LSFF’s social media and newsletter activity, lead press and media relations, oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials, coordinate audience outreach across London, and develop relationships with community, education, access and grassroots partners.

They will also work with sponsors, funders and strategic partners to deliver agreed promotional benefits, coordinate photo and video content, monitor campaign performance and contribute to audience evaluation and reporting.

This is a fixed-term freelance/contract role running from October 2026 to March 2027, with remote working available within the UK. In-person attendance in London is required throughout the festival and for key meetings and events.
