Job Summary

The postholder will manage marketing campaigns for activities and programmes targeted at growing audience segments and with a particular focus on developing those potential audiences not currently engaged with our work.

Job Description

The role will support specific audience development initiatives, identifying, and developing relationships with local groups, charities and individuals to build attendance and participation in the Buxton Opera House & Pavilion Arts Centre’s work.

The role involves planning and actioning marketing campaigns for touring and in-house productions, that nurture and grow the venue’s audience base, drive ticket sales and occupancy. The postholder will also support the wider team with the running of press nights and publicity stunts, where required.

Job Requirements

Essential: Skills, Experience and Knowledge

Proven practical experience in professional marketing, specifically within campaign management and audience development.

Experience of building relationships with communities.

Experience in working with website platforms and content management systems.

Understanding current Data Protection and Copyright legislation.

Strong organisational, time management and administrative skills. Ability to initiate and be proactive.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in copywriting, sub editing and proof reading.

Ability to analyse trends and interpret data.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team with key stakeholders and suppliers.

Education, Training and Qualifications

Educated to A level standard or equivalent with good standard English and Maths.

Personal Attributes

Interest and aptitude for both marketing and communications.

Enthusiasm for theatre, cinema and the arts.
