Job Description

Cowling & Wilcox is a specialist fine and graphic art retailer established in 1960. With three stores across London and one in Kent, we are known for providing high quality products and outstanding customer service. About the Role As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shop, leading a team of sales consultants and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will maintain high retail standards, motivate your team, and drive store performance through effective management and leadership. Applicants must be comfortable with daily physical activity, including lifting and carrying stock, as well as working on a busy shop floor for extended periods. Our managers work Monday to Friday but must have weekend availability to cover Assistant Manager holidays and absence. Why Join Us? Job Requirements

About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in independent retail store management Confident managing a store independently (not just a department within a larger retailer) A hands-on leader with a positive, charismatic approach Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to motivate and inspire your team Knowledge of art materials is helpful, but not essential – full training will be provided
