Join the Arena – Help Bring The Hunger Games to Life on Stage
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the LX, Video & SFX Department of the much-anticipated production of The Hunger Games. We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated LX, Video & SFX Assistant to support the lighting and video department in delivering a visually stunning and technically seamless production. This is a fixed term 3 Month opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the show running and maintenance of all lighting, video & SFX equipment.
- Support the show teams during rehearsals, previews, and performances.
- Operate lighting and/or video systems as required during shows.
- To complete backstage Stage LX / SFX plots.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently and under pressure.
- Work closely with the Head of Lighting / Video and other technical departments to ensure the smooth daily running of the show.
- Maintain health and safety standards and adhere to all relevant production protocols.
Job Requirements
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in a similar technical role within a theatrical or live entertainment environment.
- Solid working knowledge of lighting and video systems, including media servers (e.g. Disguise, Pixera, or similar), video wall systems, and Lighting control desks (e.g. ETC EOS).
- Experience with Special Effects or Pyrotechnics.
- A collaborative and proactive attitude.
- Flexibility for evening and weekend work, in line with performance schedules.
Desirable:
- Experience on a West End or large-scale touring production.
- Awareness of the creative demands of a high-profile theatrical production.
- Experience with Automated Followspot Systems
