Job Description
The Learning Manager will lead the development, delivery and growth of Ensemble Reza’s education and learning programme in mainstream and SEND schools, as well as developing our programme of family concerts throughout the region.
During this encouraging period of growth, the post-holder will have the opportunity to work alongside the Managing Director on the longer-term planning and strategy of the charity’s learning programme. The role includes delivering the current programme of work, creating and delivering bespoke projects with local partners and community groups and an element of fundraising to support projects and the wider education programme.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, outgoing and proactive, with excellent people skills and the ability to manage a varied and rewarding workload.
The Learning Manager will report to the Managing Director and work closely with our Schools Co-ordinator and Artistic Director.
Job Requirements
Work collaboratively with the Managing and Artistic Directors to devise and develop the education programme to the highest standards, drawing on feedback, partner consultation and an awareness of current music education policy and best practice.
Work closely with our Schools Co-ordinator to manage workshops actively, attending sessions and acting as the main point of contact for teachers, community groups and other partners.
Liaise with the Artistic Director and Fixer to schedule education activity, including rehearsals and planning sessions.
Book and contract workshop leaders and musicians, supporting the workshop team throughout the duration of projects.
Work with the wider team to write and distribute press releases to local media and relevant publications, promoting family
concerts and education and community programmes.
Support the organisation in communicating the impact and reach of its education work.
