Job Description
The Junior Production Manager will support the delivery of Niche Productions Group’s portfolio of immersive, experiential and live entertainment projects across the UK and internationally. Working closely with senior production, technical and general management teams, the role offers hands-on exposure to complex site specific builds, live operations and commercial productions from early planning through to opening and running.
This is a practical, fast paced role suited to someone ready to take on responsibility and grow quickly. The Junior Production Manager will assist on large scale flagship projects while also taking the lead on smaller projects and workstreams, acting as a key point of coordination between creative, technical, operational and external stakeholders.
The role involves regular travel, including international work, and periods away from home, alongside evening and weekend working aligned with build schedules, rehearsals and live operations. Flexibility, resilience and a proactive approach are essential.
Niche Productions Group is committed to developing talent from within. The Junior Production Manager will be supported with on the job learning and formal training, including First Aid, SMSTS and Health & Safety qualifications, with a pathway for progression within the Group.
With NPG currently delivering and developing international adaptations of The Traitors Live Experience, Peppa Pig Surprise Party, and a growing pipeline of new immersive projects, this role offers a genuine opportunity to build a long term career within a rapidly expanding production company working at the forefront of the immersive and live entertainment sector.
Job Requirements
Minimum two years’ experience in a professional theatre, live events or immersive production environment, with hands-on involvement across pre production, build, rehearsals and live operation.
Experience working on site during installs and fit ups, supporting Production, Technical or Site Managers, and leading smaller projects or defined workstreams with limited supervision.
Working knowledge of production processes, scheduling and multi department coordination, with experience liaising with freelancers, contractors and suppliers.
Understanding of technical theatre disciplines such as lighting, sound, video or scenic, and a basic knowledge of Health and Safety including inductions and safe systems of work.
Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in fast paced environments, communicate confidently with creative teams, crew, venues and clients, and work evenings, weekends and irregular hours.
Willingness to travel and work away from home when required, with strong organisational skills
Job Responsibilities
The role supports the delivery of immersive, experiential and live entertainment projects from pre production through build, opening and running. Working with Senior Production Managers, Production Directors and technical teams, the role assists across multiple projects, taking ownership of defined workstreams and leading smaller packages of work with oversight. Responsibilities include maintaining schedules and documentation, supporting procurement and cost tracking, and assisting with budget reporting.
The role may act as Site Manager on builds, managing day to day site operations, inductions, contractor coordination and safe working practices, while identifying and escalating risks. It supports Health and Safety compliance, client and stakeholder communication, international and touring projects, and requires flexibility, resilience and a commitment to professional development.
