Ronnie Scott’s is looking for a Junior Booking Agent to support programming across both our venues – researching artists, tracking music trends, handling correspondence, attending industry events, and helping deliver smooth, inspiring live jazz shows.

Few venues in the world have a live music history quite like Ronnie Scott’s. Since 1959, our Soho stage has been home to jazz greats, rising talent, and an unmistakable atmosphere. We’re now looking for a Junior Booking Agent to join the team that programmes both Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and Upstairs at Ronnie’s.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Music and the wider bookings team to help plan and deliver our world-class live programme. You’ll need a discerning ear, a strong understanding of jazz scenes around the world, steady organisation, and the ability to keep several plates spinning at once. Above all, you’ll share our passion for bringing great artists to an audience that truly listens.

Job Requirements

Who we are looking for:

  • Someone who has a good knowledge of jazz history as well as a passion for the ever-changing genre of jazz music.

  • A solid understanding and enthusiasm for jazz and live performance.

  • Strong networking and communication skills, with an ability to build and maintain industry relationships.

  • Confidence under pressure and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise.

  • Knowledge of current and emerging music trends.

  • Someone who has good initiative and can work independently

Desirable but not essential:

  • A degree in Music Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years’ experience in the music industry – ideally within bookings, artist management, live events, or promotions.

  • Practical experience negotiating contracts, liaising with artists, or managing event logistics.
