Job Summary
Job Description
This is a fixed term contract due to end when the postholder returns to the role. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.
This role is required to work with vulnerable groups including children and any offer of employment or volunteering is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
You’ll be working full time and a minimum of one weekend in four. You may also be required to work occasional evenings when we have an event. The role is based at Knole and hands-on with regular direct delivery to schools and groups.
What it’s like to work here
Knole has been welcoming visitors for over 400 years. Originally built as an archbishop’s palace, Knole passed through royal hands to the Sackville family, who still live in the house today. Knole is one of the National Trust’s Children and Young People’s Hubs offering learning visits and much more.
We welcome over 3000 young people every year for curriculum driven visits and many more during days out. Inspiring the next generation and welcoming everyone is hugely important for our cause and this Discovery Facilitator is central to our work.
This role reports to the Senior Programming and Partnerships Officer. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team who works together to get things done and delivers a fantastic events and programming offer.
