Impelo

Job Summary

Impelo is entering a bold new chapter – and we’re looking for a strategic, nurturing leader to help guide the journey. We’re seeking an Interim Executive Producer to join us part-time for 6 months. This is a pivotal role at a transformational time as we evolve into a more democratic structure.

Job Description

Executive Producer (Freelance – Interim)

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can help us stay grounded and on track while moving forward. You’ll act as a mentor, coordinator, & strategic lead-supporting a small, passionate team and embedding a framework that will ensure Impelo thrives long after your contract ends.

Contract & Fee

  • Freelance, part-time
  • 2 days/week for 6 months
  • £350 per day, (contract total = £16,800)
  • Remote with the expectation of frequent travel to Llandrindod Wells, Powys for in-person meetings.

We are seeking an inspiring, intuitive and strategic Interim Executive Producer to help lead Impelo through an exciting period of transition and growth. You will bring a dynamic supportive presence to the team, with the ability to motivate others, build strong relationships, maintain composure, and have an adaptability to meet the team with varying needs, where they’re at. This role will hold the bigger picture while managing the details with care.

You’ll be a natural collaborator – resilient, adaptable, and comfortable navigating complexity – able to align artistic ambition with operational delivery. With a deep empathy for the people and communities we work with, you will ensure that our programmes remain inclusive, impactful, and artistically excellent.

This role calls for a confident communicator and advocate: someone who can clearly articulate Impelo’s mission to funders, partners and stakeholders, and who shares our belief in the transformative power of dance. You will have experience in producing or overseeing participatory arts programmes, ideally in dance or the wider cultural sector, leading people, and understand the unique challenges and opportunities of working in rural contexts like Powys.

We are looking for someone who can both hold space and take initiative – who brings warmth, professionalism, and a shared passion for making dance accessible, ambitious, and deeply rooted in the community.
