Instrumental Learning Team Tutor (Clarinet)
Committed to producing high quality work that informs, excites and entertains, Opera North is looking for an experienced and well-motivated individual to fill the role of Instrumental Learning Team Tutor (Clarinet).
The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a professional capacity as a clarinet player and tutor. You will have excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise under pressure.
Salary: £ 30,735 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: Part-time – 3.5 per week

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Solid classical instrumental music training and a demonstrable high level of musical skill and literacy.
Experience / skills required:
Experience of working in a professional capacity as a clarinet player and tutor.
Understanding of clarinet and musical pedagogy in relation to; from beginner upwards.
Knowledge of wind repertoire suitable for children and young people in a variety of contexts.
Functional Competencies:
Demonstrable commitment to and enthusiasm for a high-quality group teaching model.
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.
Special Features:
As this post supports work with children and young people on a regular basis, DBS Enhanced Clearance is required.
As this role supports work in professional settings, a good standard of personal presentation is required.
As a member of the wider Learning & Engagement team, this post requires the ability and flexibility to work evenings and weekends
