Job Summary

To manage the planning and delivery of all front of house functions and operations at the Gallery to implement an efficient and effective visitor service to the public.

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, good on detail and an excellent team player to join us for the next exciting stage in the Gallery’s development.

Job Requirements

  • Proven ability in managing the ‘visitor experience’ and demonstrating programming ability with regard to learning and engagement programmes.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of raising money from external funders.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective management of staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the aims and objectives of The New Art Gallery Walsall.
  • Ability to develop effective partnerships and promote The New Art Gallery to a wider audience.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of resources that galleries can offer to enhance visitor enjoyment and barriers that prevent attendance.
  • Ability to demonstrate organisational and administrative skills and be able to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually and be flexible.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety issues.
