Job Description
Seeking production team members for “Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical.” From the moment you arrive, you’ll find yourself immersed in the halls of Rydell High alongside Danny and Sandy as every corner of the set comes alive. With live music, a summer fairground, and classic American diner-inspired delights, every unforgettable moment and song from Grease unfolds before your eyes.
Rehearses 30 June-19 July (with load-in starting 12 July) in London or Battersea, England; runs 5 Aug.-7 Sep. (with load-out completing 10 September) in London or Battersea, England.
Fixed-Term Contract Monday 7 July – Tuesday 9 September.
Rate: £1,000 / week
Total Pay: £9,000 (est. 9 weeks of work)
Job Requirements
Extensive experience as a Sound No 1, Head of Sound or senior audio engineer in theatre or live events.
Deep knowledge of digital mixing consoles, networking protocols (Dante, MADI) and RF coordination.
Proven leadership and team-management skills, with the calmness to handle live-show pressure.
Strong fault-finding skills across RF, playback and loudspeaker systems.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Thorough understanding of UK noise regulations and general theatre health and safety requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Lead all sound operations for the production, including system rigging, line-checks and mixing every performance.
Manage the Sound No 2 and Sound No 3 and any additional sound crew, ensuring efficient turn-arounds and smooth show runs.
Work closely with the Production Manager, Site Manager and Stage Management to deliver seamless technical rehearsals and performances.
Collaborate with the Sound Designer to realise and, where needed, adapt the design for the venue and cast.
Programme and maintain digital consoles (e.g. DiGiCo, Yamaha) and playback systems (QLab or similar).
Monitor and troubleshoot RF, comms and playback equipment, implementing swift fixes to avoid disruptions.
Produce and maintain accurate show documentation-patch lists, cue sheets, RF allocation and fault logs.
Uphold rigorous health-and-safety standards, particularly around noise exposure, cable management and power distribution.
Contribute to production meetings and note sessions.
