Job Description
About the role:
To lead, develop, manage and set standards for a specialist team of organic conservators. To make a major contribution to the Management and planning of the Conservation Team in support of the Museum Operating Plan, the Public Programme and all relevant museum strategies.
Job Requirements
About you:
- Recognised professional conservation qualification to degree level which includes training in the conservation of organic materials.
- Recognised expert in the field of organic materials conservation, both nationally and internationally
- Extensive relevant practical conservation experience
- Well established history of organic materials conservation work in a museum or heritage sector environment
- Management experience within a heritage organisation
- Clear leadership and motivational abilities
