Job Summary

ROYO are looking for experienced Production staff for the 2026 Curve and London Coliseum Run of Kinky Boots the Musical.

Job Description

This joy-filled sensation, based on a true story and hit movie, features Tony and Grammy winning music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a hilarious and life-affirming book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein and is directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease and The Wizard of Oz).

PRODUCTION DATES:

Rehearsal Dates: 9th February – 22nd February 2026 (Curve, Leicester – Monday to Saturday)

Get-In & Technical Rehearsals at Curve, Leicester: W/C 23rd February 2026

Performance Dates at Curve, Leicester: W/C 2nd March 2026

Get-In & Technical Rehearsals at London Coliseum: W/C 9th March 2026

Performance Dates at London Coliseum: 17th March – 11th July 2026

Job Requirements

The role requires delivering all lighting services essential to a first-class West End production, executed to the highest professional standards. Collaboration across departments is expected to ensure smooth, consistent performances.

  • Oversee the Lighting team, working closely with the Lighting Designer, associates, and programmers during pre-production and throughout the run
  • Operate the lighting desk for performances as required
  • Check, focus, and maintain all lighting equipment to preserve the creative and technical quality of the production
  • Maintain the Production as directed by the original creative, production, and resident teams
  • Attend all rehearsals, technical sessions, and performances as required
  • Ensure all lighting equipment and materials are safely maintained, organised, and secure
  • Lead the Lighting department during fit-ups, maintenance, and production periods in collaboration with the Production Electricians
