Job title: HEAD OF FINANCE AND COMPANY SECRETARY

Salary: £46,000 – £48,000 per annum

Location: All Lakeland Arts sites and remotely following hybrid working guidance (min. 3 days in office)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (Currently Acting CEO)

Term: Permanent

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours/week (with occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends)

Purpose

The Head of Finance will lead the financial management, control, and strategic development of Lakeland Arts and its subsidiaries. This is a key leadership role at an exciting time for the organisation. We have recently modernised our financial systems (migrating to Xero with integrated apps including ApprovalMax and Syft) and now need an experienced finance professional to optimise these systems, embed best practice, and help shape our financial future.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Head of Finance provides strategic and operational leadership in all areas of financial management, ensuring transparency, compliance, and sustainability. The role also includes acting as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with all charity and company regulations.

This is both a hands-on and strategic position. You will work with modern cloud-based systems that are already established, with opportunities to drive continuous improvement, support upcoming CRM integration projects, and ensure that financial processes are efficient, accurate, and future-ready. You will also lead and develop a capable finance team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
