Job Description
Revelation offers a unique up-close and personal experience presenting renowned artists and supporting up-and-coming local talent. Setting up shop in a shared space within a stunning church with 1000 years of history just a stone’s throw from the high street, Revelation is at the heart of Ashford’s cultural offer. Its mission is to be a beacon for the arts, in which Ashford’s growing community can come together to create and experience high quality performances.
With its distinctive and unusual setting, Revelation has quickly become one of the most vibrant and exciting small venues in the county, winning the 2017 award for Best Cultural Venue at the Kent Creative Awards. Revelation aims to be a cultural leader within the town, recognised for its role in invigorating the local economy by Ashford Borough Council, who have supported it with financial investment and political support

Job Requirements
- Strategic thinking and planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
- Working recent knowledge of the arts industry ideally music promoters and artists
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Financial acumen
- Experience in fundraising and resource development
- Driving an audience development programme
- Effective administrative and IT skills
- Track record in securing public or private arts funding
- Experience of developing an individual giving or Trust fundraising programme
- Understanding of the licensing, health and safety regulations relating to a licensed performance venue with bar
- Scheduling events or complex rotas with multiple variables
- Working effectively with a Board of Trustees
- Knowledge of and passion for the arts sector: Understanding of the arts landscape, funding mechanisms, and relevant regulations.
