Gallery Associate – Paid Work Experience

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting the team in day-to-day gallery operations, including front-of-house duties and maintaining gallery presentation.

• Supporting client-facing activities: preparing sales documentation, assisting with enquiries, and helping coordinate sales from start to finish (including packing, shipping, and follow-up).

• Helping manage artist relationships, supporting exhibition planning and communications.

• Participating in the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, and handling artworks safely.

• Contributing to catalogue production, press release drafting, and gallery communications.

• Updating the website, social media platforms, and maintaining accurate stock and client records.

• Supporting events, private views, and art fair preparations, including occasional evening or weekend work.

• Assisting with visits to artists’ studios and local client meetings where necessary.
