Job Summary
Job Description
West House is located in Pinner Memorial Park and is steeped in history. Once the home of the grandson of Admiral Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, the house and its grounds were purchased by the people of Pinner after the Second World War. Today West House is a thriving community hub, housing the Heath Robinson Museum, Daisy’s caf and the Verden Event Rooms.
Our vision is to be recognised as a great cultural centre, community asset and a war memorial and be a centre for cultural, community and social engagement attracting all of our diverse audiences. We provide spaces for participation in a programme of events, including lectures, workshops, study days, readings and theatrical performances.
The Heath Robinson Museum is widely recognised as a national and international centre for the understanding and appreciation of the life and work of William Heath Robinson, and for the development of the wider study of the history of illustration as an art form.
We are financially self-supporting through commercial partnerships and activities, philanthropic fundraising, including the Friends of the Heath Robinson Museum, and venue hire by community groups, local artists, individuals and local businesses. We are run by a highly skilled and motivated team including our fabulous body of volunteers.
We are looking to take on board new Trustees, as we are ambitious about our future and are looking to build our skills in areas that will be key to our success.
In particular we are looking for a Trustee to lead on Fundraising.
Job Requirements

We are looking for someone with proven experience in fundraising with strong networking skills to join our trustee board.
Time commitment: 3-4 meetings per annum; plus approx 20 days per year.
