Job Summary

We are expanding our pool of freelance writing tutors to lead creative writing workshops for adult learners in the evenings (Monday–Friday).

Job Description

We’re looking for practitioners from a range of literary backgrounds – whether that’s fiction, poetry, memoir, journalling, non-fiction, spoken word, or journaling for wellbeing.

Ideal candidates will be confident delivering relaxed but structured sessions, suited to both beginners and those looking to reconnect with their creative voice.

Location: Landmark Arts Centre, Teddington, TW11 9NN
Contract: Freelance, hourly, part-time
Fee: £25-£45 per hour, depending on experience and expertise
Teaching time: 2-hour sessions, with 10 sessions per season

Job Requirements

  • Professional or academic background in writing, literature, journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience leading writing sessions in educational or community settings.
  • Strong facilitation skills with a supportive, warm, encouraging approach.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
