Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, experienced Freelance Fundraiser to drive the next stage of our fundraising development. This role will implement key recommendations from a recent fundraising review, with a particular focus on growing income from individuals and Trusts.

Job Description

You will shape and deliver a compelling fundraising offer using a new Case for Support (currently in development), design and execute donor cultivation strategies in both London and Yorkshire, and build strong, lasting relationships with existing and prospective supporters.

A key element of the role will be to help set and train the YBS team to support ambitious fundraising goals through training in event management, CRM management, cultivation and stewardship of donors and the like. You will also work closely with the Trustees and Executive Director who will be closely involved in supporting the fundraising delivery.

Job Requirements

Essentials

  • Proven track record of personally securing five-figure donations
  • Experience delivering successful individual giving and Trust fundraising strategies
  • Confident, persuasive communicator with excellent written and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinker and strong collaborator, able to lead and take initiative
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent record-keeping
  • Familiarity with fundraising best practice, ethics, and data handling

Desirable

  • Experience in arts or dance fundraising
  • Understanding of CRM systems and fundraising databases
  • Interest in working with a small, dynamic organisation with ambitious goals
