Freelance Artist / Facilitator for Mighty Mega Saturday Morning Club

Discover Children’s Story Centre is seeking creative facilitators, artists and companies to lead a series of inclusive Saturday morning sessions and accompanying digital activities for disabled children and their families and/or carers. We are looking for practitioners to deliver one term (12 Saturday morning sessions lasting 2 hours 15 minutes) of participatory, in-person weekly sessions that centres creativity, play, storytelling and accessible engagement for children with diverse needs. About Mighty Mega Mighty Mega is a longstanding, free Saturday morning club for disabled children and children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), aged 5-11, and their families and carers. Each session combines: – Free play and craft activities in our immersive Story Worlds – A multi-sensory, artist-led creative workshop – A welcoming, supportive environment for families The Opportunity We are seeking a facilitator to deliver: – 12 in-person workshops (from 9:45am to 12pm on Saturday mornings during term time) – Two high-quality pre-recorded digital activities to share with Mighty Mega families and wider audiences Workshops should explore an art form or theme across the term and be: – Inclusive and adaptable – Interactive and participatory – Flexible and responsive to individual needs – Rooted in creativity and play – Facilitators will work alongside Discover’s experienced Story Builders and the Community & Education team to ensure sessions are accessible and supportive for all participants.
