Job Description

Bow Arts are seeking a Finance Assistant (Apprenticeship) to support the delivery of a high-quality, efficient, and responsive finance service across the organisation. Sitting within the Core Services team, this role supports the Finance Manager and helps ensure that day-to-day financial processes run smoothly, accurately, and in line with established procedures.
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering exposure to a wide range of finance activities including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and general finance administration. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting stakeholders with queries, and contributing to the smooth running of the organisation’s finance function.
As an apprenticeship role, this position offers the opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining practical, real-world experience alongside a recognised qualification. You will develop key skills in financial systems, data accuracy, and organisational processes while building a strong foundation for a career in finance.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and motivated to learn, with a proactive approach and a genuine interest in finance and administration.
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week, Mon to Fri 9am-5pm, with time off for studies/off the job training
Location: On-site Bow Arts office
Salary range: £26,936 per annum

Job Requirements

High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong focus on maintaining reliable financial records
Good proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent data entry skills
Effective oral and written English communication skills
Numerical competence and confidence working with financial data
Some experience within accounting or administrative work, ideally in an office environment
Good organisational skills and ability to keep documentation tidy and accessible
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and ask for clarification when needed
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
A willingness to learn and develop skills through an apprenticeship programme
