Job Summary

We are currently looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to support our client and company accounting. The role forms a vital part of the team, working closely with all staff members and clients. Working hours: 3 days (22.5h) / week

Our international management company provides worldwide representation for conductors, instrumentalists, singers, composers, visual artists, lecturers, stage designers and directors. We seek to unite outstanding performers from the world of classical music with innovative visual artists, other creative partners, international venues and arts organisations.

The Finance Assistant is a part-time role supporting the work of our Finance Director. Main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):

Accounting

Client accounting

  • Producing promoter and commission invoices for all engagements and sending as appropriate
  • Produce monthly client account statements, for a selection of clients
  • Distributing monthly client account statements

To handle monthly credit card and foreign expenses for Directors

Company credit card reconciliation in Xero

Processing staff expense claims

Other Ad hoc duties

Job Requirements

  • Financially astute – numeracy, good working knowledge of Excel, prior experience in book-keeping/accounting are required; knowledge of Xero accounting software and Overture would be advantageous.
  • Attention to detail – keen eye for detail and accuracy when preparing clients’ monthly account statements, raising the clients’ invoices and reconciling company credit card receipts.
  • Analytical – able to sift essentials from information, confident with data analysis and numbers.
  • Team Player – a clear communicator with strong collaboration skills, proactive and attentive.
  • Flexible – a high degree of flexibility and comfort with rapid and constant change.
  • Multitasker – ability to meet deadlines and set priorities, but also to switch and reset them as needed.
  • Adaptable – quick learner, who enjoys tackling new challenges and is able to work independently.
  • Technical – familiarity with cloud-based computing.
  • Industry – key experience in or a keen interest in our industry.
