Job Summary

An Open Call for Talks & conversations Workshops & participatory sessions Demonstrations & encounters with artists at work Creative interventions or reflective spaces Community-led or collaborative projects

Job Description

19-28 June 2026

Open for Art is Reading’s largest town centre celebration of creativity, celebrating established artists as well as the many groups Jelly works with throughout the year.

This year marks ten years of Open for Art – a decade of artists, makers, communities, ideas, and shared experiences. As we celebrate this milestone, our theme invites everyone to pause and consider how creativity emerges from people coming together – experimenting, making, and reflecting. Our theme for 2026 is REFLECT.

For 10 days, we’re inviting Reading to slow down and notice the creativity through the town. Seek out pop-up art in shops and businesses, encounter artists as they work, take part in creative sessions, and join conversations about how reflection shapes artistic practice. REFLECT is for all ages.
