About the Project
Tiny Giants is a workshop programme for children aged 6-11 taking place in libraries and community spaces in London throughout the spring. During the workshop children will create their own puppet from everyday materials before learning how to use the puppet and devise their own short scene in groups together. The aim of the workshop is for the children to develop a deeper understanding of where the things we use come from and how to express their own ideas.
The Role
We’re looking for a Facilitator to work alongside the Lead Facilitator in both the design and delivery of the project. This is a brilliant opportunity for an emerging practitioner who’s passionate about nurturing creativity and supporting young people to find their voice. Experience making and performing with puppets is essential. This role will give you practical experience planning and delivering puppetry workshops in libraries.

Time Commitment
The project will run on specific dates between March and May, availability on the following dates is essential:
- Thursday 12th March
- Thursday 9th April
- Wednesday 22nd April
- Tuesday 26th May – Saturday 30th May
There will be 1 day of planning spread throughout the project.
Fee
- Day rate (2 sessions): £100
- Half day rate (1 session): £60
1 session is 2.5 hours long
Job Requirements
Essential
- Passion for the arts and working creatively with young people.
- Interest in community arts, co-creation, and youth-led practice.
- Experience making and performing with puppets.
- Collaborative, reliable, and open to learning.
- Valid DBS or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt during workshop delivery as required.
Desirable
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Facilitation experience in any setting.
- Experience as an artist/maker.
