England Netball has recently been awarded funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to catalogue England Netball’s Archive during their centenary year. England Netball was founded in 1926 as the All England Women’s Net Ball Association and is the National Governing Body for England’s most played female team sport in the country: netball.

As the England Netball Centenary #NET100 Project Archivist, you will appraise and catalogue the physical and digital archive to a high standard, recruiting and supervising a team of volunteers who will help you list, repackage, and index the archive.

Liaison and promotion and working closely with England Netball is a key part of the role: you will create Heritage Toolkits that can be utilised by England Netball’s Heritage Champions across its 9 regions to preserve heritage in these areas, contribute to a mobile pop -up exhibition, and showcase the
archive at Centenary events. You will also work with personnel at England Netball to identify core records which should be transferred to the archive during the project, and create collection specific procedures and retention policies to ensure continued transfer of records to the archive beyond the Centenary.

Salary: £31,916 – £34,000 per annum, dependant on skills and experience
Contract: 35 hours per week, 12 Month Fixed-Term
Location: This role will be based at Heritage Quay, University of Huddersfield, with agreed days at England Netball’s Head Office in Loughborough.
Occasional travel to drive Heritage activation in the community (may include weekends)
