Job Summary

R&D of a new bilingual musical at HOME Manchester. ‘A Place for Me’ (working title). The story follows a young Taiwanese artist through an unexpected pregnancy and considers themes of abortion, familial estrangement and sexuality.

Job Description

‘A Place for Me’ has been in development for 2 years and is ready to move forward with a short R&D and WIP sharing this October. From November, the show will head to Taiwan for the next stage of development. Project lead is Tom Rigby and he is joined by Zheng Yin Yin, an artist based in Taipei.

We are looking for a Mandarin and English speaking director for 2 days of development and 2 days R&D, paid at £110 per day

10am – 6pm

Job Requirements

Mandarin and English speaking director with an interest in early stage projects. This is an intimate, family story and will require emotional sensitivity from our team.
