Magic Lantern’s inclusive and interactive art history workshops complement the whole primary school curriculum and help children develop a range of skills including oracy, critical thinking, visual literacy, empathy and confidence.
The charity works with a range of adult learners including delivering CPD sessions for teachers on how to use art history in the primary classroom and are an official Artsmark Partner.
The Director is responsible for the charity’s long-term viability, the quality of its educational workshops, and its public profile.
We are looking for someone with a knowledge and passion for Art History as well as experience in teaching or gallery education. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and experience managing a team.
This is a part time (1 day a week or equivalent to 8 hours weekly) freelance role working remotely. The salary is £6,000 per annum.

Job Requirements
Expertise: Knowledge and passion for Art History with experience of teaching or gallery education.
Communication: Exceptional public speaking and writing skills for diverse audiences, from schoolchildren to donors.
Leadership: Experience in managing remote or freelance teams and working effectively with a Board.
Tech Savvy: Comfortable managing websites (e.g. WordPress) and social media content creation.
