Job Summary

As we celebrate our 125th anniversary, Wigmore Hall is beginning an ambitious new chapter in its fundraising journey, and we are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Development Assistant to join our team.

Job Description

Each season, we seek to raise around £3.5 million to support world-class concerts and innovative artistic projects, and deliver impactful community programmes.

In this vital role, you’ll help maintain and manage donor data, provide outstanding service to our members and supporters, and support the day-to-day running of a busy Development team. You’ll also play a key role in delivering smooth and memorable donor events at Wigmore Hall, working closely with colleagues across the organisation-from Marketing to the Box Office. Your work will help strengthen supporter relationships, streamline processes, and enhance the donor experience.

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 10am – 6pm.
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required with time off in lieu given.

Salary: £27,300

Job Requirements

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support across all donor and membership-related activity within the Development Department.
Respond to general and development-related enquiries by phone, email, or in writing, escalating more complex issues as needed.
Support fundraising campaigns such as the Audience Fund Appeal, Digital Broadcast Fund Appeal, Director’s Fund Campaign, and Gift Aid administration.
Assist with donor events, including liaising with House Management and Restaurant staff at operations meetings and welcoming guests at evening/weekend functions (TOIL is available).
Maintain accurate donor recognition listings across concert brochures and the Hall’s website.
Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Development Office, coordinating tasks and liaising effectively with team members.
Provide flexible support to the Membership Office
