ROYO are looking for experienced Production staff for the 2026 Curve and London Coliseum Run of Kinky Boots the Musical.

Job Description

This joy-filled sensation, based on a true story and hit movie, features Tony and Grammy-winning music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a hilarious and life-affirming book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein and is directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease and The Wizard of Oz).

Rehearsal Dates: 9th February – 22nd February 2026 (Curve, Leicester – Monday to Saturday)

Performance Dates at Curve, Leicester: W/C 2nd March 2026

Job Requirements

The Sound No. 2 will be a key member of the Sound Department, supporting the Head of Sound in maintaining the highest standards of audio for every performance. Duties include:

  • Maintaining the Production as directed by artistic and technical requirements
  • Working collaboratively with the sound team, other technical departments, stage management, the acting company, and theatre staff
  • Attending rehearsals, show calls, maintenance sessions, fit-ups, and get-outs as required
  • Assisting with setup, operation, and maintenance of all sound equipment, including pre-show checks and routine upkeep
  • Operating the sound desk and radio microphones, and deputising for other team members when necessary
  • Preparing for understudy and swing performances, making adjustments as required
  • Adhering to Health and Safety policies, including safe working at height and use of PPE
