ROYO are looking for experienced Production staff for the 2026 Curve and London Coliseum Run of Kinky Boots the Musical.

This joy-filled sensation, based on a true story and hit movie, features Tony and Grammy winning music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a hilarious and life-affirming book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein and is directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease and The Wizard of Oz).

PRODUCTION DATES:

Rehearsal Dates: 9th February – 22nd February 2026 (Curve, Leicester – Monday to Saturday)

Get-In & Technical Rehearsals at Curve, Leicester: W/C 23rd February 2026

Performance Dates at Curve, Leicester: W/C 2nd March 2026

Get-In & Technical Rehearsals at London Coliseum: W/C 9th March 2026

Performance Dates at London Coliseum: 17th March – 11th July 2026

Job Requirements

The Lighting No. 2 will support the Head of Lighting in maintaining the highest technical and artistic standards for a first-class West End production. Duties include:

  • Assisting with rigging, focusing, programming, and operating lighting systems to realise the Lighting Designer’s vision
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting lighting equipment and performing pre-show checks
  • Ensuring all systems, tools, and materials are safely maintained, tidy, and secure
  • Attending all technical rehearsals, show calls, maintenance sessions, and performances
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure efficient and smooth operations
  • Assisting in cueing, follow spot operation, and upkeep of lighting paperwork
  • Deputising for the Head of Lighting when required
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures, including safe working at height and proper use of PPE
