Job Summary

12 month fixed term Curator position in support of the Visual Documentation Project focusing on the licenced and medal collections. The Curator’s role will be to bring the documentation for these collections up to required standards.

Job Description

IWM holds some of the world’s most significant collections relating to 20th and 21st century conflict. You will play a key role in improving the documentation and accountability of IWM’s hazardous and licenced materials and medal collections, improving accessibility and meeting required standards. This is an opportunity to make a difference to how our audiences connect with these collections and the often deeply personal stories associated with them.

Job Requirements

Ensure that all records meet inventory standards
Work with colleagues to standardise catalogue data to ensure it meets the needs of its users
Work with colleagues to identify items for potential review
Resolve object queries
Enhance existing content and historical information in the object records
