Job Description

About MDM Props
MDM Props creates extraordinary environments, immersive experiences and bespoke fabricated projects for clients across entertainment, attractions, events and commercial sectors.
We’re looking for an experienced Creative Project Manager who can take a client’s vision and turn it into an exceptional delivered project.
Working alongside a Technical Project Manager, you’ll lead projects from first enquiry through design development, fabrication and installation, ensuring every project is creatively outstanding, commercially successful and delivered to the highest standard.
The Role
You’ll be the primary point of contact for clients, leading creative discussions, developing project scopes, managing budgets, coordinating internal teams and ensuring every project exceeds expectations.
You’ll work closely with our designers, workshop teams and Technical Project Managers to balance creativity with commercial and production realities.
At MDM Props, every project is led by two complementary Project Managers. As the Creative Project Manager, you’ll own the client relationship, creative direction, commercial management and overall project journey. You’ll work in close partnership with the Technical Project Manager, who leads fabrication planning, workshop delivery and installation. Together you’ll make key decisions, solve challenges collaboratively and ensure every project is creatively ambitious, technically achievable and successfully delivered.

Job Requirements

About You
You’ll ideally have 8+ years experience working within a set-building, scenic construction or creative fabrication company where design and fabrication are delivered in-house. This means you’ll understand how creative ideas translate into physical builds and be confident collaborating with workshop teams throughout the delivery process.
You’ll probably have experience in one or more of the following industries:
Themed entertainment
Events and exhibitions
Scenic construction
Visitor attractions
Film or television
Creative fabrication
Retail displays
Museums or experiential environments
You’ll also bring:
Excellent client-facing communication skills
Strong project management experience
Commercial awareness and budget management
Outstanding organisation and planning skills
Confidence managing multiple projects simultaneously
A collaborative approach and calm attitude under pressure
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional creative work
