About the Role
Our Mr. Brunel Costumed Interpreters have been at the very heart of Bristol Dockyards for almost two decades and continue to form engaging and memorable experiences for those who visit the ship.

By embodying the persona of Isambard Kingdom Brunel – widely regarded as one of the greatest engineers of all time, you will be the principal costumed presence on site. An integral element of our core visitor offer, Mr. Brunel is responsible for creating unique and magical moments for visitors by bringing the history of the SS Great Britain and Isambard Kingdom Brunel to life.

The Operations Department
Our team’s role is to ensure every visitor has a safe and enjoyable day out. From welcoming visitors onsite, assisting with ticketing and enquiries, ensuring visitor safety and comfort through our duty managers, to engaging with visitors through storytelling, providing a quality retail experience and wishing them a fond farewell, our team go the extra mile at every point of the visitor journey.
