We are seeking a collaborative and exciting composer to create the score for a new adult animated sitcom set in the world of Greek Mythology – The Other Heroes.
Think Rick and Morty meshed together with Jason and the Argonauts!
As a creative team, we have strived so far to create a show that feels fresh and funny, taking what you love about these great myths and hammering them into a new and weirder sort of story – the kind of story that a modern audience can recognise in their own lives.
A bit about The Other Heroes
The Other Heroes is about an unlikely hero called EUGENE, your average binge-drinking nihilist orphan nobody, who is suddenly forced to embark on a madcap odyssey across Ancient Greece after a profound encounter with DIONYSUS, the God of Wine and Chaos!
To help him along the way, Eugene will recruit his own crack team of bargain bin Argonauts. A group of forgotten nobodies who we will watch learn and grow as friends across the course of the series, on an exciting journey that will see them irrevocably transformed into… maybe not heroes, but people you might trust to save the world in a pinch.
Specifics
The Other Heroes is a low budget production, so unfortunately we are not able to expend the kind of money and resources we would ideally like to. However, we would like to offer the successful artist a flat rate of £500 for their work.
Working hours are subject to change, but at the moment we expect this to be a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 40 hours.

Job Requirements
What we’re looking for crucially is someone who is keen to collaborate and lend their own creative talents to create a score that will really push the vibe of the show.
We don’t have any specific style of music in mind just yet, so at the moment we are open to all kinds of pitches! If you have a take that’s a bit experimental or anachronistic or out-there – we would love to hear from you!
The show is about the down-and-outs of Greek mythology, a group of imagined nobodies who are rejected and whose misadventures never became immortal myths. This is what lies at the heart of the show – and so the most important thing is that we find a musical style that will reflect the off-kilter and misfit nature of The Other Heroes.
