PROJECT SUMMARY:
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show has been dazzling audiences around the globe for over seven years, faithfully bringing to the stage Eric Carle’s timeless classics. Most recently completing successful productions in the UK & Asia. Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, this production of the critically acclaimed show features a menagerie of over 75 magical puppets, including the star of the show -The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
PRODUCTION DATES:
Rehearsals: 15/09/2025 – 20/09/2025 (London)
Technical Rehearsal: 22/09/2025 (Derby Theatre)
First Performance: 23/09/2025
Last Performance: 30/11/2025
Job Requirements
- Attention to detail, the ability to remain calm under the pressure of a busy live production environment and good all-round technical skills.
- The ability to deal with puppet and show maintenance and the rehearsal process for a small-scale tour.
- Additional responsibilities include daily and weekly reporting, a backstage track during the show, driving of the company vehicle (shared responsibility with TSM) and all maintenance and attendance required as part of this duty; in conjunction with the General Management.
- Familiarity with and adherence to current Health & Safety guidelines relevant to the production is essential, which may include working at height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending training as deemed necessary.
- Full Driving License and comfortable driving a Luton Van
