Job Description
Management of the Company
Manage programme of after school company sessions, primary contact for young people and families
To be on site and manage the company of young people during holiday projects, trips & special events
Responsible for recruiting and organising balanced groups of mainstream & SEND participants to achieve positive social grouping and to promote inclusion
Oversee application & registration process liaising with young people, parents & carers, including collect, check and record subscription fees
Process membership and application forms and maintain the membership database.
Work with Haringey on funded projects such as Holiday Activities & Food and short breaks. Includes managing external signup processes, database management, recruitment & liaison with new families
Mediate with young people and their families in regard to issues affecting their participation.
Communicate key information & opportunities to company members & families in accessible forms
Co-ordinate theatre productions with the Artistic team
Support the Artistic Director in overseeing the working of practitioner teams, including volunteers, maintaining inclusion throughout the artistic programme
Support recruitment and training of staff and volunteers and supervise their work
Coordinate the HS minibus pick up and drop off process. Liaising with families, the driver and chaperone to ensure a smooth running and safe service
Office Administration
Assist the CEO in monitoring and evaluation of all projects, including gathering feedback, statistics & case studies
Monitoring the budget
Assisting with creating press releases and publicity documents
Contributing to the monitoring and updating of the website
Finance
Process invoices & volunteer expenses
Administer monthly staff payments & supplier invoices
Support the collaborative fundraising work
Safeguarding & H&S
Ensure safeguarding policies & practices are being adhered to.
Complete risk assessments & travel plans for company activity
Job Requirements
- A good understanding of inclusive performing arts in the community and in education
- An awareness of disabilities and special needs and how to adapt and develop work programmes to meet the specific needs of participating children and young people
- Working in a youth group/organisation/project
- Working with children, young people and adults with a diverse range of special needs, abilities and disabilities
- An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to develop relationships with children, young people & their families.
- Flexibility and empathy with a wide variety of people
- Highly organised with strong level of administrative skills (confident user of Outlook, Word, Excel) and good time keeping
- Strong communication skills – able to manage multiple competing demands & priorities
- A collaborative way of working and how to involve and meet the needs of staff as part of the team delivery approach
- Reliability, punctuality & effective time management
