Job Summary

To coordinate and support the delivery of TPH’s community activities, ensuring they are accessible, welcoming, and meaningful for local people. This role focuses on community engagement, volunteer support, and programme delivery, working closely with Project Managers, Administrator, and volunteers.

Job Description

The Power House, Poole is a creative community hub dedicated to improving wellbeing and connection through arts, learning, and participation. We believe creativity can bring people together, strengthen communities, and restore hope in challenging times.

Our long-term vision is to establish a Cultural Community Centre on the former power station site, while continuing to grow our community-led programme in our new Hub which opened on the Blandford Rd, Hamworthy in May 2024. In addition we manage a community garden, The Cornerstone Patch, 2 minutes’ walk from the Hub.

Thanks to National Lottery Reaching Communities funding, we are recruiting a Community Projects Coordinator to work with Project Managers, and lead on the delivery and also feed into the development of the creative, wellbeing and community activities in our Hub, Cornerstone Patch and in the community (outreach).

This role is a front facing, community engagement role.
