Job Summary

The Community Project Assistant role will work closely with the Community Engagement Producer, Creative Facilitators and Community Partners to support the design and delivery of a series of creative theatre workshops, performances and events to take place across 3 Wards in Nottingham City.

Job Description

The Community Project Assistant role will work closely with the Community Engagement Producer, Creative Facilitators and Community Partners to support the design and delivery of a series of creative theatre workshops, performances and events to take place across Bulwell, Sneinton and the Meadows. The Assistant will play a key role in supporting Stage the City to ensure the voices and stories of communities are heard and celebrated throughout the project. This role will involve supporting both practical project delivery and project administration.

Not only will this role take on practical, hands-on coordination of workshop preparation and delivery, but they will also be a key point of contact for our participants, developing and maintaining relationships with participants and community partners across our three key areas.

Outside of Stage the City, this role will also support other activities across a range of Nonsuch Studios programmes, including our Regular Classes programme, providing an exciting opportunity to be involved in Nonsuch Studios’ wider work.

Hours

22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE – 3 days per week)

Duration of contract

Contract to end of July 2026 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

Place of work

Nonsuch Studios Office, Broadway Cinema, with regular travel to venues around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

Flexible work required

Due to workshop times, regular evening and weekend work is required. Change of working hours will be managed through TOIL.

Probation Period

3 months

Notice Period

1 months on successful completion of probationary period

Holiday Entitlement

28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (17 days pro rata)

Due to the nature of our work, some working on bank holidays may be necessary, but time off entitlement will not be affected.
