Areas You’ll Cover:
Promotion and what’s on
You will work across the team to support producers to promote and effectively communicate their strands of work both on and offline. You will support dissemination of information via appropriate channels to get the word out to a variety of audiences, holding responsibility for templates and knowing how best to use our available channels.
Social media and website
You will be responsible for social media, including managing mailchimp audiences and our websites. You will ensure coherent and up to date content, and work with the team and building tenants to make sure the website and social media are engaging and full of rich content. You will be the first point of contact for messaging via social media, referring to other team members as appropriate.
Design and photography
You will be responsible for ensuring our design guidelines and documents are used effectively, maintaining a consistent visual approach across our work, including at larger events and through printed materials. You will support with photography and simple moving image at key moments to maintain high quality image work of things that are happening.
Newsletter and blogs
You will work closely with the team to collate weekly newsletters and what’s on pages. Keeping a close on things that are happening, you will support the team to develop regular blog posts about our work, ensuring that the tone and content are engaging and that we’re sharing key messages.
Accessibility
You will lead on ensuring that our content and communications are accessible to all audiences, reviewing design for accessibility and staying up to date on best practices for this. This includes ensuring that information about accessing physical spaces and events allows for people with access needs to take part in what’s on offer.
Job Requirements
Person Specification:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience managing websites and social media channels
- Ability to tailor content for different audiences, including community groups, artists, funders, and the general public
- Experience of working with visual branding and design standards for an organisation
- Strong copywriting and editing skills for a range of audiences
- Basic photography and image editing skills
- Ability to create or edit short video or moving image content
- A self-starter, ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks simultaneously
- Experience using design tools such Canva
